Objectives

Upon completion of this enduring material activity, you should be able to accomplish the following:
  1. State the basic fundamentals of ultrasound physics
  2. Demonstrate proper transducer manipulation to produce diagnostic images.
  3. Identify normal ultrasound imaging characteristics of musculoskeletal anatomy.
Target Audience
Physicians, sonographers and other medical professionals at an entry level of performing and/or interpreting MSK ultrasound for the evaluation of Ligaments, Muscles, Nerves and Tendons. Physician participants may include (but are not limited to) those involved with specialties in: radiology, orthopedics, sports medicine, physical therapy, chiropractics, rheumatology, emergency medicine, internal medicine and family medicine.
