Objectives

  • Recognize ultrasound characteristics associated with various types of tumors and pseudotumors seen with musculoskeletal ultrasound.
  • Identify the location of various types of tumors and pseudotumors seen with musculoskeletal ultrasound.
  • Apply ultrasound diagnostic criteria to evaluate musculoskeletal tumors and masses.
  • Increase confidence to incorporate protocols, techniques & interpretation criteria to improve MSK diagnostic/treatment accuracy.

Audience

Physicians, Sonographers, PAs, NPs and other medical professionals involved with performing and/or interpreting MSK ultrasound examinations of tumors or masses. Applicable practice specialties may include (but are not limited to): Radiology, Sports Medicine, Orthopedics, PM&R, Rheumatology, Pain Management, Regenerative Medicine, Neurology, Primary Care, and Emergency Medicine.
