Objectives

  • Increase the participant's knowledge to better perform and/or interpret MSK ultrasound examinations.
  • State the relevant anatomic structures involved in treating frozen shoulder.
  • Outline the typical targets and techniques used for ultrasound- guided injections for treating frozen shoulder.
  • State typical volume needed to effectively distend the glenohumeral joint.
  • Perform ultrasound-guided 1st MTP distension.
  • Recognize the ultrasound appearance of stenosing tenosynovitis.
  • Perform ultrasound- guided injection techniques for treating stenosing tenosynovitis.

Audience

Physicians, PA’s, sonographers and other medical professionals who will be involved with performing and/or interpreting diagnostic MSK ultrasound examinations. Physicians may include (but is not limited to) radiology, sports medicine, orthopedics, PM & R, Rheumatology, Primary Care, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine , and Emergency Medicine.
