Objectives

  • Recognize correct landmarks for documentation of abdominal circumference (AC) measurement.
  • Describe the three scan planes used for complete abdominal wall evaluation.
  • List the more common fetal abdominal wall abnormalities.
  • List the most common ventral wall defects (VWD).
  • Describe changing appearance of bowel and kidneys.
