Objectives

  • Recognize the sonographic appearance of subchorionic bleed and retroplacental bleed.
  • Recognize the normal sonographic appearance of the rhombencephalon and the fetal cerebellum.
  • Identify correct fetal lie.
  • Differentiate an anembryonic pregnancy and an ectopic pregnancy with pseudo sac.
  • Recognize the sonographic appearance of an IUD with an IUP.
  • Recognize the sonographic appearance of a didelphys uterus.
  • Identify fibroids during OB ultrasound examinations.

Audience

Physicians, sonographers, nurses, midwives, NP’s, PA’s, and other medical professionals who will be performing and/or interpreting point of care OB ultrasound. Physicians may include (but are not limited to) those involved with: OB-GYN, family medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine, and radiology.
