Objectives

  • Recognize the Appearance of Hemothorax and Pneumothorax when evaluating the pediatric chest.
  • Demonstrate confidence to incorporate protocols, techniques and interpretation criteria to improve diagnostic/treatment accuracy.

Audience

This pediatric emergency medicine and critical care ultrasound training video is intended for any medical professional involved with performing pediatric ultrasound examinations in an emergency or critical care setting. Physician participants may include, but are not limited to: emergency and critical care physicians, surgeons, hospitalists, primary care, internal medicine, family medicine, and any other point-of-care medical professionals.
