Overview

The Ultrasound-Guided Vascular Access and Blended Ultrasound-Guided Regional Anesthesia Training Course combines the live, traditional format (live lectures and hands-on scan workshop) Vascular Access course with the blended format (online course and hands-on scan workshop) Regional Anesthesia course to provide participants a strong foundation to perform central and peripheral line techniques for vascular access and a variety of regional anesthesia procedures.

This comprehensive course is taught by leading ultrasound experts that specialize in ultrasound guidance for vascular access and regional anesthesia and features a 3:1 participant to expert instructor ratio scan workshop utilizing both standardized patient models (for anatomy and scan technique) and inanimate phantoms (for interventional technique practice).

The Vascular access course is planned in accordance with the current Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), ACEP, and WINFOCUS guidelines. The regional anesthesia topics are based on ASRA ultrasound practice guidelines and includes upper extremity, lower extremity, truncal, and miscellaneous blocks (see topics section for more details).
