Dr. Smith is a Professor and ViceChair of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN where he has specialized in PM&R & Sports Medicine and
since 1996 and currently holds joint clinical appointments in the Departments of Radiology and Anatomy.
Dr. Smith is the former Program Director for the Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Fellowship and currently serves as assistant program director. He also serves as director of MSK US and Regenerative Sports Medicine for the Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine Center.
During the past 10 years, Dr. Smith’s clinical practice and research interests have focused on diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal ultrasound and he has published and taught extensively on these topics.
