Objectives

At the completion of this enduring material, the participant should be able to:

  1. Demonstrate the participants' knowledge and competence to interpret vascular ultrasound examinations
  2. Explain routine scan protocols and analyze normal spectral waveform signatures, color characteristics and Doppler measurements in a normal carotid and peripheral vascular examinations
  3. Recognize abnormal spectral /color Doppler findings seen with carotid, peripheral arterial and venous disease
  4. Apply diagnostic criteria for evaluation of carotid, peripheral venous and arterial disease.
  5. Interpret routine and complex carotid, peripheral vascular, and abdominal Doppler case studies in an interactive “double-read” format
  6. Apply diagnostic criteria for interpretation of physiologic arterial examinations
  7. Recognize normal/abnormal spectral/color Doppler findings associated with Abdominal Vascular disease
  8. Cite the key elements to include in a structured final report
