Objectives

  • List the indications and purpose for performing a fetal heart ultrasound screening examination.
  • Identify ultrasound anatomy and physiology of the fetal heart.
  • Demonstrate a routine protocol for fetal heart screening, including the four chamber view, LVOT view, RVOT view, the three vessels and traches view, and sagittal views of the great vessels.
  • Obtain and measure a routine fetal heart rate and rhythm.

Audience

Sonographers, physicians, PAs and other medical professionals involved with performing and or interpreting Fetal Heart Screening ultrasound examinations. Physician participants may include (but are not limited to) those whose specialty include: OB-GYN, Perinatology, and Radiology.
