What exactly is a Gulfcoast Live Webinar? What about an On Demand Webinar?
These questions come up often enough, so we decided to shed some light on the subject.
Simply put, a webinar is a seminar (or a short lecture) given over the web. Web + seminar = webinar. There's little to none technical set-up when watching a Gulfcoast Ultrasound webinar. And unlike the static PowerPoint presentation that other organizations provide, our webinars are presented in a television-quality video and audio format — you can actually see the presenter and any techniques demonstrated, making the event that much more engaging!
Here at Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute, we offer two kinds of webinars: live webinars and on-demand webinars.
A live webinar is a webinar that takes place as you watch it. Normally, it is the live, web broadcast of a seminar taking place here at our facility in St. Pete Beach, FL. One of the key benefits of attending a live webinar is the interaction between the participant and the instructor. Participants can e-mail questions to the instructor directly from the webinar web page as the event takes place. All questions are always answered.
An on-demand webinar is the recorded version of a live webinar. While there is no participant-instructor interaction, the webinar is available for viewing for 30 days (45 days if it's a registry review on demand webinar). Participants can review on-demand webinars for an unlimited amount of time during the 30 - 45 days. On –Demand webinars are intended for single participant per webinar use, and as such security settings only permit access to one computer per webinar purchase. For multiple participant registration please call Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute.
Webinars make ultrasound education very easy to attain. Both live and on-demand webinars are low-cost (as low as $69.00) and can be viewed from work or home — at your leisure if watching an on demand webinar. Since there are no travel nor lodging costs are involved, webinars are an appealing medium by which to acquire quality ultrasound training. We even offer multiple participant discounts for groups of five or more.
