Registry Review Workbooks and Audio CDs

Originally introduced in 1993, and revised, rewritten and periodically updated, our popular P.A.S.S. (Preparation Agenda for Study Success) Workbook sets now include the complete chapter narrations on digital audio CDs. Similar to a review book on audio, the P.A.S.S. products provide a comprehensive written and narrated format of the topics listed on the ARDMS registry outlines.

This series is designed so you can easily find a specific subject of study at any time. Each program consists of a spiral-bound workbook with self-tests after each section, 3 or more digital audio CDs that can be played on current portable and car CD players or multisession computer CD drives, and a CME Quiz ($50.00 processing fee) that can be submitted for 10.0–17.0 AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credit(s)™ (also meets requirements for ARDMS) per topic, if needed.

Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute takes sonography registry review to the next level in 2012 with our all new “ULTRA” P.A.S.S. Registry Review Workbook series. Completely new in the ULTRA workbooks is a companion DVD that features real-time exams illustrating various pathologies referenced in the workbooks! Other modalities will follow as new ARDMS outlines are released. The Original Registry Review Flashcards©

Registry review flashcard study aidThe Original Registry Review Flashcards© (SECOND EDITION) provide a method of final testing to determine the areas of weakness that may require further study, while at the same time reinforcing the material with which you are already comfortable. The flashcards also contain an audio CD narration of continuous questions and answers to further reinforce the study process. Each set of flashcards can be submitted for 9.0–15.0 AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credit(s)™ per topic (also meets requirements for ARDMS and ARRT, Cat.B only, CME).
Each set of flashcards contains an average of 335 questions and answers (including assorted images, diagrams and charts) designed after the actual registry format. The decks measure 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 for convenient carrying, have space on each card for personal notes, and have two removable fastener rings to allow the decks to be shuffled to change question order.

The accompanying narrated digital audio CDs allows for continual study while spending time commuting in your car, jogging with a portable “Walkman”, or even sitting at your computer (CDs and flashcards are designed to be used separately; questions pertaining to the diagrams or images are excluded on the narrated recordings). An enclosed CME Quiz ($20.00–$25.00 processing fee) can be submitted for AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credit(s)™, if needed. Registry Review Interactive Exam CDs

Registry review cd study aidOnce again Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute is leading the way with another innovative educational study-aid for the ultrasound professional. The P.A.S.S. Sonography Registry Review CD Quiz Series is an excellent self-assessment tool for the medical professional preparing to take an ultrasound registry examination or for the educator who has a desire to enhance the current registry review curriculum.

The questions posed in each of the P.A.S.S. interactive CD exams are based on current registry examination outlines and are presented in similar formats. The P.A.S.S. CDs offer:

  • An unlimited number of times you may take the practice exams — whether taking an exam 8 or 1,000 times, the CD will never stop working
  • An automatic timer that allows you to measure your test-taking time improvement
  • A bank of 400–500 questions, of which 120–170 (depending on the specialty) are randomly selected each time an exam is taken
  • Randomized order in which the answers are presented each time an exam is taken, allowing you to take a different practice exam each time, virtually eliminating the chance of memorizing the questions and answers.

Each mock CD exam comes with easy-to-follow, on-screen instructions, images, and diagrams presented in multiple choice format. Upon successful completion (70% or better) of the included quiz, the user will be directed to the CME Quiz Center for AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credit(s)™. Site licenses are also available.

Site Licenses

A “site license” allows organizations to install a single CD on a computer network, or on each computer at a company, so as to grant access to all individuals belonging to the organization (site) to the contents of the CD. Two-year expiration from date of purchase.


The ACCME requires that all enduring materials be reviewed every three (3) years to determine content validity in order to be certified for CME Credit.

The "Termination" date actually indicates the next scheduled date of review to determine if this material will be reapproved for AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™.
