Target Audience
The target audience for this DVD are physicians and sonographers who have a desire to learn emerging 2D ultrasound imaging techniques for coronary artery disease, cardiomypathies, and pericardial disease.
Objectives
After viewing this video presentation, the participant should be able to:
- Discuss basic principles of coronary artery disease and interpretative scoring of left ventricular regions each coronary artery supplies as seen by 2D and stress echocardiography.
- Explain the etiology of pericardial effusions and what you need to look for in order to rule out cardiac tamponade.
- Differentiate between causes and types of cardiomyopathies using secondary 2D echo findings to determine treatment and surgical intervention.
