Target Audience
The target audience for this DVD are sonographers and other medical professionals learning how to perform obstetrical sonography examinations. Also, physicians who are at an entry-level of interpreting OB sonography examinations. Physician participants may include (but are not limited to) those whose specialties include Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, and OB/GYN.
Objectives
After viewing this video presentation, the participant should be able to:
- Identify the presence or absence of the gestational sac
- Differentiate between extrauterine or intrauterine embryo
- Identify the fetal number
- Identify the presence or absence of cardiac activity
- State the accurate length of the crown rump for the gestational age
- Identify obvious abnormalities of the fetus
- and...Evaluate adnexal and uterine structures.
